Machete at ZⓈONAMACO 2019

Through artists using different processes and materials, we want to address a common theme: different approaches to storytelling in the context of contemporary art. Our Zona Maco 2019 booth showcases works by Abraham González Pacheco, Ana Gallardo, Artemio, Marcos Castro, Natalia Ortega Gámez, Paula Cortazar and Sol Pipkin. They all use narrative strategies that are specific to the visual arts. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, and some things can’t be conveyed through prose alone. The works we are showing today invite the spectator to see several layers within them and put together stories through imagery.
